Lee A. Meyers, CEO
Lee A. Meyers is Chief Executive Officer of Central Penn Management Group. Mr. Meyers has over 35+ years of healthcare experience in progressive Healthcare positions including 20+ years of Physician Practice Management. He has also held positions of Controller, Director of Materials Management, and Director of Finance in a hospital management setting. In these positions he has been responsible for Admissions, Credit & Collection, Billing, Outpatient Registration, Purchasing, Central Supply, Storeroom, Budgeting, and Accounting.
Mr. Meyers has a Bachelor of Science from Lehigh University with a major in Accounting, and a Master of Business Administration from St Joseph’s University with an emphasis in Financial Management. He has a Post Masters’ Certificate from St Joseph’s University with Health Administration concentration and is a Certified Compliance Professional. Mr. Meyers also serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Physicians’ Alliance Ltd. (PAL), a multi-specialty physician owned corporation serving the population of Lancaster County and beyond. PAL has grown to a size of approximately 130 providers in 25 locations throughout Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He brings significant consulting experience to the group and has developed models to improve both profitability and quality of life for physicians.
Michael P. FitzGerald, CPA, Chief Financial Officer
Michael P. FitzGerald serves as Chief Financial Officer of Central Penn Management Group. Mr. FitzGerald received a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from University of Notre Dame and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Temple University. He also is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Pennsylvania.
Mr. FitzGerald brings not-for-profit experience as a former member of the PICPA Nor-For-Profit Committee, years of health insurance experience (statutory accounting/filings experience) and Big “8” public accounting experience. Mr. FitzGerald also taught college level accounting courses for 20 years at Millersville University – adjunct faculty.
Gretchen Burford, Controller
Gretchen Burford serves as Controller at Central Penn Management Group, has been with the company since 2004 and brings 18 years of financial healthcare experience to CPMG. Ms. Burford holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Lycoming College.
Ms. Burford is experienced with Vision and NextGen, Cognos custom reporting, data extraction and validation, quality control on daily postings, verification of correct payor reimbursement per contract, financial reporting and analysis, physician productivity calculations and charge master setting. She also assists physician practices to meet quality measures tied to pay for performance programs, Meaningful Use and Patient Centered Medical Home certifications and process improvement.
Barbara Eberly, Director Information Technology
Barbara Eberly serves as Director of Information Technology for Central Penn Management Group. Ms. Eberly has nearly 25 years of hands-on experience in the management of clinical, business, and technology functions for two successful primary care practices. During the past 7 years she has assisted in practice start-ups and transitions for a variety of practice specialties and models, directing information technology implementation, EHR implementation, staff training, and practice management functions.
A graduate of Hagerstown Business College, Hagerstown, Maryland, Ms. Eberly has regularly received continuing education certificates in the areas of coding, compliance, practice administration and information technologies. She is a reference client for Allscripts Enterprise applications (STAR). A Contributing Editor for the successful national marketing and management publication The Doctor’s Office, one of the HCPro, Inc family of publications and has provided editorial consulting services since its inception in 1980, and currently writes a monthly column for the publication.
Ms. Eberly has successfully directed implementation of network, hardware, software, workflow design, training and support for more than 300 providers in approximately 50 locations throughout 5 Pennsylvania counties. She is proficient in software implementation, workflow design, training and support for MS Office applications, NextGen PM and EHR applications, Follow My Health patient portal, Allscripts Enterprise Practice Management and EHR Meaningful Use certified applications, Registration/Scheduling/Charge Entry/Orders & Results Interface testing and support and reporting experience with Crystal, Cognos, BIAnalytics, MS and Informix SQL.
Cheryl Brodeur, Operations Director
Cheryl Brodeur serves as Operations Director for Central Penn Management Group. Ms. Brodeur holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Management from Millersville University.
Prior to joining CPMG, Ms. Brodeur traveled both domestically and internationally training radiology voice recognition software and PACS Systems. She is an expert in Allscripts and NextGen practice management and EHR systems and experienced with implementing new practice management and EHR to provider practices.
Lisa Patton, Director Human Resources
Lisa Patton has served as Director of Human Resources for Central Penn Management Group since 2003. Ms. Patton attended the Alvernia College Business Management Certificate Program and is certified in Total Quality Management from Juran Institute as well as Omega Sales and Sales Management.
Ms. Patton brings very strong leadership skills to CPMG with expert employment law and employee benefit knowledge as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. She is also accomplished in marketing, advertising, business processes and operations.
Kathy Sager, Billing Director
Kathy Sager serves as Billing Director for Central Penn Management Group. Ms. Sager has 20 years of management experience in medical billing, coding, clinical MA experience, claim processing, collections and accounts receivable.
Of note is that in the seven years she has been at CPMG she has decreased AR below the national averages as well as offered billing support from her team to over eighty multi-specialty practices. Ms. Sager received is a Registered Medical Assistant from National School of Health Technology in Philadelphia, PA and is a Certified Professional Coder from the American Academy of Professional Coders.
Pegge Yuskovic, Credentialing/Consulting Manager
Pegge Yuskovic serves as Credentialing/Consulting Manager for Central Penn Management Group. Ms. Yuskovic is responsible for the credentialing and managed care contracting for CPMG. She brings over 20 years experience in physician third party payor networks and has worked with physicians in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Washington.
Led by Ms. Yuskovic the Consulting team at CPMG is driven to understand all sides of the credentialing process from physician recruitment, payor applications, payor communications, contract linking and physician billing needs. Ms. Yuskovic has worked with the Pennsylvania Medical Society on House Bill 1551 known as the Physician Credentialing Act and presented case history to the House of Representatives.
Mary Kritz, MBA, Sr. Consultant
Mary Kritz serves as a Sr. Consultant for Central Penn Management Group and Physicians Alliance Ltd. (PAL). Ms Kritz has over 30 years of experience in Healthcare Accounting and Finance Administration.
Her career began managing finances in a hospital environment and implementing productivity and general ledger software systems. During her career in medical accounting and finance, Mary received her Masters degree in accounting from St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia Pennsylvania. After achieving the role of Hospital Controller Mary concentrated her efforts on selecting hospital budgeting software and hiring appropriate staff that contributed to the hospital’s strong profitability. Needing a new challenge, Mary moved on to become the CFO of Central Penn Management Group and Physicians Alliance Ltd, a physicians practice ownership and management company. Currently she works as a Sr. Consultant for CPMG and PAL.
Ms. Kritz has helped develop a model that has allowed financial success for both the practice sites, and the organization as a whole. Sitting on the PAL Board as the Chief Financial Advisor, Mary has provided the sites with the appropriate data allowing them to managing their practices to profitability. Managing contractual allowances per provider has been the backbone of Mary’s strategy in advising the sites on how to be financially successful in the managed care industry.
Victoria Martell, Quality Initiatives Coordinator
Victoria Martell has served as Central Penn Management Group’s Quality Initiatives Coordinator since 2011.
Ms. Martell coordinates all quality programs, both insurance and government based for Physicians’ Alliance, Ltd. She works with the Physician Champions and IT department to develop and train workflows to meet quality initiatives and works with the Finance Department to maximize incentive potential from the quality initiatives. Ms. Martell develops and analyzes population management reports based on EHR data. Her role also includes coordination/monitoring of quality metrics for 16 provider sites within PAL in accordance with insurance developed Accountable Care Arrangement guidelines.
Ms. Martell’s notable accomplishments since being with CPMG includes ongoing submission of Meaningful Use for PAL providers beginning in 2011 and coordinated team effort to research, develop, train and monitor workflows/processes to reach NCQA Patient Centered Medical Home 2011 Level 3 Recognition.
